Since the color for a height map is reversed, they need to be reversed. That is more clicks than just adding a Color -> Invert (D) node. Connect the Image output of the Color Ramp to the Invert node’s Color input. You can see I added another Viewer node. Now I added an Output -> Composite (E) and Viewer… Continue reading

Bits and Pieces Catch Up

…is tutorial has the key bit of information everyone needs to know to solve color matching issues. Once color is matched in a CalWL environment the colors generally look good in all the other environments. Plus you can see detail very well to see how your attachment fits. Visage Coming to Second Life

…er than the avatar’s default hands. MUCH better. If you haven’t seen how the hands work, check out the video. This is one of the easier skin matching systems around. My Nomine skin doesn’t match any matching system presets I’ve ever seen. So, I was all the way into using the color palette to finish up the matching. There are also a number of folders with environments some of which are meant for skin matching, i.e., Nam’s Optimal Skin and Prim. You’ll have to sort out which you think works best. I’ve used CalWL forever. But a number of people have written about why it isn’t so great why their choice is so much better. I have used AnaLu’s. I think it works well. I just don’t s… Continue reading
