Slink Redux

The article Slink Redux Body complexity questions appearing on the Slink blog answers questions about the new Redux body, which uses BoM. It points out that this body is not a quick fix to get an existing body to work with BoM. The Redux body is an entire remake.

The comparison for BoM and other Slink bodies is made using ACI as measured using the Linden made SL Viewer. Also pointed out is how the BoM layering system reduces the textures worn from a possible 20+ textures to 3.

Slink also has new heads using Bento and BoM. See Updated and New Heads @ Slink on the Slink Style blog. There are the first new or updated heads in 4 years.

According to Simon Linden, the RC channels version has the changes and fixes for script problems.

Last week there was additional confusion as the main channel roll out got rolled back. Seems the update broke a lot of script communications and thus the scripts.
