Second Life Scripting: LSL to C#

We don’t get much scripting news in Second Life™ these days. There is Project Sansar which will use C#, which I think dampens the enthusiasm for working on LSL (Linden Scripting Language). But, this little piece of news popped up on SLUniverse: LibLSLCC – Replacement for LSL editor, lsl to C# converter.

Second Life Servers – Week 51

This week we saw a roll to the main channel and will see a new package go into RC channels Wednesday.

The main channel got the maintenance release with Crash Fixes and BUG-10192 – Feature Request: llGetObjectDetails() constant OBJECT_OMEGA.

Second Life Servers – Week #50

There hasn’t been much server news. Last week no updates rolled out as QA had found problems. Nor was there a roll-out to the main grids primary channel this week as the RC channel packages were having problems.

This week we did get a roll-out to the RC channels. All three channels are getting the same package. That roll-out came Wednesday.

The package is a maintenance release. The release notes tell us the package consists of crash-fixes and a fix for BUG-10192 Feature Request: llGetObjectDetails() constant OBJECT_OMEGA.

It is hard to tell if little is actually going on or there is secret stuff going on.

Viewer Update Week 50

Second Life 3.8.6-305981 – Main Viewer – Or formerly the Notifications Viewer

My viewer: Second Life 3.8.7 (306758) Oct 27 _ When I mention viewer problems or issues while writing about other topics over the past couple of weeks, this is the viewer I am most likely using.

You may be noticing NVIDIA problems where the viewer has mini freezes, computer freezes, black screens, and video driver resets. As best I can tell, these problems are not solely viewer issues. I have run into the same thing with Word, Chrome, Vivaldi, and other programs. You’ll find a number of threads in other gaming forums discussing problems with NVIDIA crashing and restarting. In America the IRS is the Internal Revenue Service. It is the taxing agency of the American government that has its own courts and law enforcement officers. It also has over 1,977 forms, 90,000+ (2015) employees, and 74,000 pages or 3.7 million words of tax law that it enforces (Reference) without regard to the Constitutional principal of Due Process.
