The main channel of servers updated today, starting at 3AM SL Time, according to the grid status notices. That is the time of day with the fewest users. My tracker shows the minimum number of concurrent users is between 2 and 4 AM each day, about 19,000 to 25,000 this year. Peak use is about 2 to 3 PM and 2 to 3 times as many people, averaging about 55,000 in 2016 and peaking at 58,153.
This update ran on the RC channels last week. It contains some changes to the scripting language, a bug fix, and minor internal changes.
There is no new update for the RC channels, probably next week.
RC Second Life Maintenance Viewer version 220.127.116.111518 – This version has updated since last week from version 18.104.22.1681183. The release notes are here. There is quite a list of changes and fixes.
RC Second Life Bento Viewer version 22.214.171.1241250 – Last week we were on version 126.96.36.1991250 too. No change. I am guessing this version will roll out this week or not until after Thanksgiving.
Second Life Project 360 Snapshot Viewer version 188.8.131.521431 – This viewer is getting attention and has updated from version 184.108.40.2060965.
I expect Firestorm to update soon. I saw some change to the wiki a couple of weeks ago. Not much viewer related recently. An update might roll between now and next Monday. If not, it likely won’t be until after Thanksgiving. Also, releases generally appear early in the week. That way if there is something seriously wrong the team doesn’t have to work through the weekend fixing it or trying to get the viewer recalled.
