Servers
We have a Deploys post this week! …and I stayed up long enough to read it. Still semi-sick and sleeping a lot.
Seems the main channel is not getting an update and will remain on #18.04.13.514504. This is the version with; A fix for BUG-214702 and Internal fixes.
Blue Steel will get an update to #18.04.20.514703. This version has a couple of changes needed to support the ability to change our names; New LSL Functions: llName2Key and llRequestUserKey.
Le Tigre, Magnum, and Snack will get version #18.04.30.515008. This version has the changes to improve regions crossings and teleports. These are changes in how region servers talk to each other. No new user-side toys.

Other News
The server changes rolled out with the region crossing improvements do not address the problem of avatars becoming unseated from vehicles. At the UG meeting Joe Magarac (animats) said, “Last week, Mazidox asked me to try the sim crossing test on the beta grid. Same failure as usual.”
Simon Linden responded, “Yeah that’s still on the list to look at, Joe.”
EEP – Enhanced Environment Project – Rider Linden told us, “I’m once again moving making progress. I’ve got environmental assets and inventory working on one of the internal grids and I’m making a couple of changes to the viewer to help support them.”
Tyrehl Byk: Is there any intent to support zone Windlight settings up in the atmosphere?
Rider Linden: @Tyrehl. Yes, I still intend to support up to 4 altitudes at roughly every 1000 meters. The altitudes will be controlled by the simulator. I hope to have the scripting out with the initial release. I need to sit down with Oz next week and assess the backlog. … But I’m eager to get EEP into peoples’ hands. And if that means letting you guys play with it before LSL is ready then I’m willing to take that hit.
