Monday was a holiday in the USA. So, things are running a bit behind this week. We may see some more viewer updates later in the week.
The deploys thread in the SL Forum hasn’t updated yet. As of 8:50 AM PT this morning my in-world tracking has not shown a restart. Those happen for my region before 10 AM and usually before 6 AM PT. So, if there are rolls I expect a one-day shift.
I may update this article after the Server & Scripting UG meeting today (noon PT).
PS: There will be a roll to the RC channels Wednesday. Blue Steel and Le Tigre will get #17.09.01.508236 and Magnum gets #17.09.01.328871. Cake is updating too, but I don’t have any info on that update.
I’ve added links to the various viewer downloads in the blog-roll, left column.
The main viewer is still version 220.127.116.118060. This update rolled out in w35. I doubt we will see it change for a couple of more weeks. The Lindens avoid annoying people with having to download frequent updates.
Second Life Alex Ivy Viewer version 18.104.22.1687412 – No updates since last week.
Second Life Maintenance Viewer version 22.214.171.1248812 – This release rolled out after last week’s article (w35 – 8/29). However, it rolled out as version 126.96.36.1998612. So, this was a quick update… or someone made a typo. The release details were covered last week. (Release Notes)
Second Life Voice Viewer version 188.8.131.528552 – This viewer has updated since last week, 184.108.40.2067253. I suppose some fixes and of course the changes to bring it current with the main release.
Second Life Project 360 Snapshot Viewer version 220.127.116.116743 – No updates since last week.
Then there is the Imaginarium Event. This morning with 12 people in the region I was hitting lag. So, with my SpaceNavigator, I cam’d through the place. Unfortunately, it is one of those places where my double-click to TP bounces me back to the main landing point. I hate that.
There are some cute Halloween related Things and lots of cute clothes. This is a Gocha event, which isn’t my thing. But, I get the demos and visit the main stores.
Then there is the mental calculation of the odds of getting what I want, the value of the things I get but didn’t want, and the probable cost to get what I want versus just buying it… decisions…
Also, N-core has their free Ciara strappy shoes out in Fuchsia. Nude, Black, and Fuchsia are currently available.
