Today a new episode of the World maker files is out. There is a post on the SL blog (The Drax Files Episode 8: MadPea Games) and it is all over Facebook.

As always this is a well done video and quite fun to watch.
Kiana Writer is obviously a creative mind and fun to listen to also. Drax is himself and Kiana is her avatar.
I got my invitation to join Digg Reader. This is a review of the Digg Reader from my perspective of a first time user. This is definitely a beta version of software. It works. But, I think the reader is incomplete. That is sort of the point with beta software.
I originally went to the site and put in an email address which lets Digg know I wanted to participate in the beta. The next day I got an email. It had my unique link to Digg Reader. Yay! Excitedly I click and got a page elegant in a simplistic design style. Basically the only information was: Digg Reader – Click to import Google Reader. See the image above. I did that and got an error. After that it got confusing.
Lette Ponnier has an article up on her blog that is way neat. You may have read her blog recently if you were keeping up with problems in the Firestorm Viewer. The new post, Why We Can’t Have Nice Things, departs from that theme and explains a part of life in Second Life™ that many have yet to figure out.
I encourage you to read this article and bookmark it to give to wackadoodles when you must endure their ignorant ranting… or find you have allowed yourself to be exposed to one and your patience runs out.

About 21 hours ago the Firestorm blog announced the release of Firestorm Viewer version 4.4.1-34164. From the teams point of view this is a MUST UPDATE TO release. If you are running the newest version of Firestorm 4.4.0, you STILL need to update to the new viewer.
A number of users have reported problems with the 4.4.0 viewer that have kept them from using it. The team has made every effort they could in the time frame available to fix problem discovered in 4.4.0. They believe they have fixed the majority of problems blocking use of 4.4.0. So, 4.4.1 should work for you.
Tech Crunch has an article about the Digg Reader. Google Reader shuts down next week. So, there will likely be a bunch of people surprised that their reader doesn’t work. They will be searching for a replacement. Digg is a candidate.

Digg Reader targets power users. It supposedly takes a bit of work to set up feed, or so I read. I have yet to try it.
Digg Reader rollout information. Seems it is by invite only at this point.
In the information they are promising SEARCH. I’ve been using Feedly and I really miss the search that was in Google Reader. So, I will be trying the Digg Reader.
