The main channel is being updated today (Aug 7) with version #18.07.20.518082. This is the Animesh version we had hopped to see roll out last month. We now have Animesh grid wide. However, we only have a project viewer for Animesh.
This version ran on Le Tigre and Magnum last week.
Blue Steel, Le Tiger, and Magnum RC channels are being updated to version #18.07.20.518086. This version is about Internal Fixes. It has Animesh too. It isn’t clear at this point if it is the same animesh as is on the main channel.
This version ran on Blue Steal last week. I am guessing the fixes in it are being tested with the Animesh changes this week.
Several people have noticed multiple restarts this morning. My home region restarted 3 times. About 45 minutes between restarts. Times are GMT 11:21, 12:30, and 13:14 (6:14 AM SLT).
The default viewer is now version 126.96.36.1997973. We had version 188.8.131.526459 since week #26. The new version is the maintenance version running since week #30 and in a previous form since week #29.
Second Life Bugsplat Viewer version 184.108.40.2068305 – New this week. Prior version 220.127.116.118003 released in Week #30. This is a version that uses an alternate crash reporting system.
Second Life Voice Viewer version 18.104.22.1688310 – New this week. This is a version with updates to SLVoice with new codecs, some problems fixes with selecting audio devices, and other voice related bug fixes.
The Lindens warn the voice executable is NOT compatible with some earlier versions of the viewer.
Second Life Project 360 Snapshot Viewer version 22.214.171.1245934 – Last updated in week #10.
Second Life Project Animesh Viewer version 126.96.36.1998080 – Last updated in week #30.
So, not yet an RC version. But, likely soon.
Second Life Project Bakes On Mesh Viewer version 188.8.131.528013 – This is a new version. The previous version 184.108.40.2066270 was released in week #25.
Black Dragon Viewer – Update 3-2.3 – This version has some bug fixes and changes to the Joystick control panel.
Firestorm Wiki and viewer code stream are getting updates and clean up.
Enhanced Environment Project (EEP) is coming along. Rider Linden says they found a gotcha in the backside of the new feature and they are fixing that. Also, he is ‘tightening up’ some parceling. But, he is expecting to get to Project Viewer stage soon.
Region Crossings – There are ongoing discussions and work on region crossings. Discussion turned to finding a way to build a system for advising pilots where security orbs are. That would be nice. Kelly Shergood is working on a device.
