Emerald Viewer vs SLURL

Update 12/24/2016: See the newer version of this information: Second Life: How to FIX SLURL’s. UPDATE: The Emerald Viewer is long gone. But, these steps work with any viewer and web browser. You are changing Windows’ settings. Use your viewers name in place of ‘Emerald’. This SLURL thing has been a problem for me for a long time. The problem is clicking on any SLURL in Google Chrome, or any Internet Browser, causes the SL Viewer to start up. If I… Continue reading

Second Life Viewer 2.1 Alpha

SL 2.1 Alpha Version DL The Alpha version of this viewer was released Thursday June 10. See: Announcing Viewer 2.1 Alpha and Voice Morphing. …O.O… voice morphing? There is a big demand for that? Aaah… ok. A big item for me is they plan to make weekly releases of the new viewer, alpha version I expect. This seems to be the trend with all the viewers, faster releases. Emerald, Kirsten, and Imprudence are all releasing versions of their viewers fast… Continue reading

Emerald Viewer Build 2100

Grid Setting for OSGrid Wow… a few days of RL work and I’m left behind. Emerald has a new beta release out. Yay! Build 2100 is out. The exporter has been improved and is not supposed to crash. I’ll have to try it and see how it works. I have original builds in SL that I would like to move to OSGrid. I’ve also made some stuff in OSGrid that I would like to bring into SL. You will find it in the pie menu, right-click an object and click MORE until … Continue reading

KirstenLee S20 (31) Released

… This release is mostly about stability. Not much new to talk about. See: S20 Build 31 ( Back from Holiday Special ) I’ve gotten to use this version for several hours now. It seems more stable than my SL 2.1 and Emerald 2439. I’ve been visiting high lag places (NWN’s popular places) and it does pretty good. The LL servers seem to be having problems. Everyone is complaining of lag (8/7 AM SLT). … Continue reading
