No Deploys post this week. Simon Linden tells us there will be an RC rollout. My main channel home region did not restart today, Tuesday.

The only change Simon mentions is more logging is added to the RC.

We also heard about BUG-37692llRezObject() and llRezAtRoot() peroidically stop responding unless you’re an estate manager. This bug breaks existing content. If you are having a problem with it, you have this weekend (#38 – Sept 24-25) to add your information in comments.

If you think of the shops that have a ‘rezzer’ in store for their products, you can have an idea of the scope of the problem.

Last Friday (11/6) was the Third Party Developers’ meeting. We got some news. I’m just getting around to it. I’ve had my head in php parts of a gambling site that didn’t work. My head hurts… sniff… sniff. Don’t feel sorry for me. I’m having ice cream for dinner… 🙂

Oz Linden told the group that a new version of the viewer will be coming into the RC group. A maintenance version, which usually means a collection of fixes and often some third party features. He thinks this version may actually pass the other RC version and make it out ahead of them.  Continue reading
