Indigo Mertel is active in Second Life™ and SL social media. She also owns and pays for East River Community land, which you’ll find as Strange Sands Beach – East River Community (SLURL), Helvellyn (URL), Hardknott (residential).
She recently contacted me writing,
I have been contributing to the East River Community with large swaths of land at a considerable monthly cost for years. Many things have changed in my RL these past months and I am now in the sad position to inform you that I am no longer able to contribute to the community. I have procrastinated this decision for a long time because I was very uncomfortable with the idea of dilapidating all the hard work we all put into building our beautiful community. But, eventually, I had to come to a decision.
We all want the East River Community to survive, so rather than just pulling the plug I’ll hold off for a limited time in order to find donors willing to donate tier to the group.
To anyone willing to donate tier to the East River Community, please contact Indigo Mertel.
East River Community – founder
If you haven’t been to East River, you’ll find it is moderate land. I say it has been designed for play. There are boats, jet skis, wind surfers, and other things. On the west is the Bay City area, if I read the map correctly, so lots of water to play in.
If you can, help out.
There are ways to reduce the cost of land. So, if you have a similar challenge, Penny Patton has a “how to” article I mentioned in: Cheap Efficient Use of Second Life Land.
