Today is the day. NIVIDA releases the GTX1060 @ MSRP US$249. Every place I’ve looked they are sold out.
The new GTX1060 has the same performance as the GTX980 but, for less money, even at eBay prices. At least for now. It takes time for those on eBay to catch up with the market.

There was a roll out to the main channel this week, Tuesday. This is another of those minor internal improvements.
There is no new package rolling to the RC channels this week. So, all servers on the main grid are running the same package.
The Second Life™ blogosphere is mostly silent on the state of VR in SL. A few blogs are covering the release of a sort of updated CtrlAltStudio viewer, version 1.2.6.43412. This is a viewer based on the Firestorm viewer version 4.6.9 from December 2014.
The viewer does support Oculus Rift CV1… the commercial retail consumer product.
In the US race is being played to divide the country. Watt’s Up With That just published data published by the Washington Post, which they took from national crime stats compiled by government agencies. This information is generally hard to find. It goes against the agenda pushed by liberals and progressives. The media, and that includes Yahoo News and Google Search, ignore it or bury it making it hard to find. I often have to switch search engines to find articles I’ve read in Drudge and know are out there. That more whites than blacks are killed by police is a fact people react violently to. Have you asked, why?
The Third Party Developer’s meeting ran 28 minutes. Attendance has been low. There is news and word on where the Lindens are focusing their attention.
The RC Second Life Maintenance Viewer version 4.0.7.317394 fixes lots of stuff and has some nice contributions by third parties.
