Nomine Closing

When I first came to Second Life™ it was not long until I decided I had to have a better skin. I spent months searching for one I liked that fit the look I wanted. I selected a Nomine skin. I still wear that skin.

I saw a post on SLUniverse today that Munchflower Zaius has health and cash flow issues and will be closing/selling the region housing the Nomine store.  Munchflower’s market place store should remain open to the end of the year.

Some customers that are on the Nomine subscriber are getting notices of the closing. Caete posted a copy of the notice she received in the SLUniverse forum.

🙁 I wish Munchflower the all the best and as easy a health battle as possible.

 

Second Life News 2013-36

Because of the Monday holiday in the USA, server roll outs are pushed back one day. The news on the server roll outs is a bit fuzzy as Simon Linden was not available at today’s user group meeting. Not has Maestro Linden made a Deploys post. But, Andrew Linden tells us the package on the RC channels this last week is to be rolling out to the main channel on Wednesday.

Andrew added a fix that is in that package fixing a grief mode where really big objects could push avatars out of a the region. Faux rotating kfm megaprims don’t knock people out of the sim anymore. Andrew specifically targeted those prims.

So, the question has to have run through some minds regarding how sex would be with the Oculus Rift. A lot of people seem to play the game of ‘breaking in’ new things. When I first thought of it I guessed people would be dodging when Tango Lolas went by.

Well it is not just running through some minds. A company in Irvine, California named Sinful Robot is developing a ‘sex’ game for the Oculus Rift: Sinful Robot is hiring people and moving ahead in developing an erotic game that will have as its basic quest as sexual gratification. AND this has been in progress for almost a year. Nobody told me…
