It seems the updates for the Release Candidate planned to rollout on Blue Steel and Le Tigre did not make it. So, the package planned for Magnum was rolled to all three RC regions.
The Magnum package is the HTTP one with a crash mode fix.
So, if you have been testing the new Animation Override functions, you are out of luck for a week or so. The scripts you have made will continue to work. But, compiling (saving) new scripts to test is going to fail.
Lots of bits and pieces are coming out. CHUI has made it to the main viewer. That is allowing lots of things to move forward. The Materials System now has a Project Viewer (link in left column – currently alpha version per Oz Linden – if used to edit existing content it may break it). We are seeing Third Party Viewers come out with Server Side Appearance (Baking). See Kokua 3.5.1 now with CHUI and SSA. The HTTP package is moving forward and the Interest List updates are everywhere.
Today there will be no rollout to the main channel. None of the Release Candidates made it past testing. So, those packages are getting updates Wednesday and will run for another week.
Blue Steal and Le Tigre will continue to run the package with the new scripting functions for animation overriding. There are some changes to improve how these functions work with other scripted items, such as pose balls.*
Magnum had the update to HTTP Protocols. That package gets some bug fixes and will continue to run on Magnum.
The server updates seem to have gone pretty well. There are some good things and some bad things.
Region crossings are way better. A couple of sailors and pilots have commented in the Deploys thread about how much better things are.

With this rollout the problem of some items simply not rendering has gotten worse. If one clicks on them they show up. So, the server has told the viewer they are there. But, for some reason the viewer is not rendering them. It seems the problem is showing up in Linden and third party viewers.
We are a little light on news in Second Life™. The server updates are toward the end. I think to some extent things are hung up with CHUI – Chat Hub User Interface. There are some problems in the code. The Lindens are thinking one more Beta version of the CHUI Viewer is going to be needed before they can complete it. I suspect we will see that this week.
They have been fixing things;
CHUI-799 FIXED Notification is not given to user when they select only friends and groups can IM me
CHUI-855 FIXED Text entry bar auto expand does not resize
CHUI-896 FIXED Line flashing and FUI button flashing not working correctly for CHUI notifications
CHUI-903 FIXED Don’t show toasts if Session floater is torn-off and in focus.
CHUI-905 Fixed Viewer crashes while using Insert keyboard key in chat
They are behind in fixes. Plus a number of problems related to CHUI are not being reported in CHUIBUG. They are being reported in other areas, like the general BUG section.
This week we did get a rollout to the main channel. The code running on Blue Steal and Le Tigre was promoted Tuesday morning. This is a package that has a bug fix or two and a crash mode fix, which I think is mostly a security fix. So, we won’t see much change in the main channel… may be a bit less griefing.

Release Channels
Wednesday we will see the Blue Steal and Le Tigre RC channels get the exciting rollout. SVC-3755 is included which changes how the CHANGED() event works. Now CHANGED_REGION and CHANGED_TELEPORT will work from child prims.
An avatar named ‘16’ made a video showing her testing of the fixes now running in the Magnum RC channel.

The video runs 2:40 minutes. In it you can see what I’ll call perfect crossings and messed up crossings. When one can cross and turn it shows the system is working. Without comments in the video we cannot tell when she crossed and lost control, at least I can’t – not for sure. I think the camera jerks are from problems with the crossing.
Whatever the case, things seem to be working pretty well for these ‘fast’ crossings.
