The site Road to VR has an article about Nvidia and the changes they are making to improve VR performance and that tech moving into game engines. See: Unreal Engine and Unity to get NVIDIA’s New VR Rendering Tech.
Until recently video cards were given geometry (the mesh world), lights, and a camera position and they rendered an image. As the camera moved the geometry was reloaded shaded and rendered again with mesh and lights in relation to the camera. (Which is technically saying it backward. Consider the camera fixed and to change the view we move the world. Think of your computer screen as the camera. It sits on your desk never moving. Everything displayed on it moves. Thus the reason for reloading geometry.)
There is no roll to the main channel this week.
The RC channels, all three, are getting the same new package. It consists of minor internal changes… right.
Medhue has another video showing how sliders are working.
As I understand it, one has to use the Bento Experimental viewer to see this as it is in the video. The Experimental viewer is different than the Project viewer. See: AvaStar Update: 2.0 Alpha-4 & Project Bento.
Ben Ya Movie is a YouTube name. Ben Ya posted the video Second Life Beauties (6/2016). The images have been Photoshop’d… or he has a magic video card. But, I find it an interesting and well done video concept. A nice way to show off awesome photos.

The music is fitting titled: “Empire of Angels” by Thomas Bergersen. While there are sites claiming to provide free download of the mp3 version of the music, I didn’t find any that were not advertising injection scams. So, be careful if you attempt to download it for free. The music is on Amazon.
The YouTube name pairs to the Second Life name Benito Yalin. (March 05, 2007, which is almost exactly a year older than me.) Like most of us he separates RL and SL.
