There is a large construction project in my part of the world. Tomorrow, Thursday as I write this, that means I’ll have no electricity from 8AM to 5PM. So, I won’t be posting from home. Depending on how the day goes, I may use a friend’s computer… or we may go out for food.

Second Life Reddit

I have spent some time on Reddit. I used to regularly post on Reddit, but not so much any more. I see people talking about how handy Reddit is. Some say it leads visitors to their blog. Daniel Voyager in his article titled: Second Life on reddit says, “…it’s a very good way to get the latest Second Life news…”

So, I was wondering just how popular Reddit is. I needed to find some stats. It took a bit of looking but I did come up with them.

A quick look at them shows who most of the posters are. The far left site is Inara’s modemworld.wordpress.com. The web page chopped off the name.

Solve Media Stopped Spam

Thanks for your feedback on Solve Media’s Captcha widget. In the last 24 hours I’ve gone from the escalating 1,000+ spams per day for the last few days to 74. I am checking to see if I can save comment text entered when captcha fails.

Solve Media Captcha

I am trying out the Solve Media Captcha on my comments to see if it can block some of the spam flooding the site. Yesterday over 1,000 spams were in the cue and that was with several hundred blocked by Bad Behavior.

In general I don’t like the illegible captcha tools used by most sites. Solve Media supplies a readable captcha puzzle. They also sell advertising through the captcha widget/plugin. Getting money is always nice.
