For some time—years, actually—I’ve been ignoring the tech side of my blog. Work-wise, I’m doing less and less WordPress (WP) coding. I find I’m forgetting how the inner workings of WP function and how the pieces fit together. Fixing the custom pages on the site has been a major pain in the ass (PITA), so I kept putting it off.
As I’ve been using AI more and more, I decided to try Claude.ai for the update. I’ve used Grok on some other projects, but the more complex the project and the pickier I am about appearance, the worse Grok performs. So, I’m really pleased with how well Claude handled this.

I’d heard that Claude is exceptional at coding. Some people working with Second Life™ (SL) code are using it too. I had Claude revise my Concurrent User Tracking script in SL, and it went very nicely. I like the result a lot.
Revising the blog was easy with Claude. I’m happy with how it turned out.
What this means for you:
Basically, most of the items in the navigation menu now work. The parts that weren’t working were the filtered pages that pull up historical posts by category or tag.
The history on this site goes back about 15 years (counting from February 2026). Many of the posts have a counterpart on YouTube from when I was videoing User Group meetings.
Problems
I’m not done with the site yet. The nav menu still isn’t quite right—I need to do something to make it more user-friendly. I’ve rearranged it a bit to improve things.
Also, I don’t like some of the fonts and colors.
None of the remaining issues are a high priority for me. They’ll get fixed when I have time or the mood strikes.
A lot of what I do relates to traffic. Right now, about 2,500 unique visitors come to the site each week (meaning actual people visiting, not page views). That’s a pretty good number considering I cut back on writing in January 2025. It’s not a big money-maker, though, and I still need to get my Google ads working again.
So much to do.
