Cover Picture
- After the upgrade, some users’ profile cover pictures were re-positioned to show the bottom of the image instead of the top. You can reposition it in your profile settings.
- Hovering over your forum avatar icon now shows a fuller preview of your profile cover picture.
Following & Notifications
Following Threads
- A Followers button at the top of each thread lets you follow/unfollow it.
- Notification preferences for followed content can be adjusted in: Avatar → Forum Preferences → Email settings (e.g., set to only notify for Messages).
- There was a reported bug where the “Unfollow” button didn’t work in Firefox but did work in Chrome. Notifications Lag
- Some users reported a lag where notifications take longer to appear than before, and the notification pop-up count sometimes differs from the bell count.
Thread Summary Feature
- Long threads now show a “View Summary →” button near the top. It generates a condensed version of the most significant posts in a thread — a new AI-summarization feature.
Mobile / App
- The forum can be added to your phone’s Home Screen as a PWA (Progressive Web App). On iOS: Share → Add to Home Screen; on Android: browser menu → Add to Home Screen / Install App.
- Mobile layout is significantly improved over the previous version.
- The full editor toolbar may look different or have less real estate on mobile while typing.
Troubleshooting Tips
- If the forum behaves oddly or features are missing, check: VPNs (Nord VPN was reported to break the editor), JavaScript settings, cookie settings, and browser extensions.
- Clearing your browser cache can help with lingering issues post-upgrade.
- If “Unread Feed” is very slow, use Mark All as Read to reset it.
- The forum does not work well with Pale Moon browser after the upgrade.
