Viewer Releases
- September 4 and September 22: Chat Modernization project viewers 26.3.0.33643480083 and 26.3.0.35248298254. Cross-device DM history for supported clients; existing local logs preserved.
- September 11: Lua Editor RC / beta 26.4.0.34502396632, hotfix of the September 9 cut. Linux experimental build, VS Code extension link, Lua on enabled regions, WebRTC voice.
- September 24: Lua Editor RC 26.4.0.35914774337, still the 26.4 release candidate on the alternate-viewers page as of September 29. Not promoted to default in September.
- Graphics Care Package: Still in bug-fix, not released. September 10 CCUG notes said server-side glTF parameters (index of refraction, specular, and possibly transmission) are in progress. Transmission, if it survives performance testing, would allow prims that look like Linden water without buoyancy or underwater haze. Extra shadow-casting projectors are planned as a debug setting, not a preference, because high counts hurt frame rate. Geenz Linden was also preparing simulator-side PBR specular and emissive parameters. An Aditi test region is planned once server support is ready.

Third-Party Viewer Enhancements
- Firestorm: Stable stayed 7.2.4.80712 (June 1). No September stable release notes or dated beta blog post were found. The Early Access page lists 7.2.5.81336 for Windows, macOS, and Linux, but that build was not dated in a September changelog during this scan. The project’s public September post was the 16th anniversary (founded September 3, 2010; party September 12). A site note said Linux build servers are moving from Ubuntu 22.04 to 24.04 ahead of GitHub runner retirement. No September posts were returned from the Firestorm X accounts in this scan.
- September 10: Megapahit 26.4.0.564544, listed in Inara Pey’s week 37 round-up.
- September 11–27: Kirsten’s Viewer S24 continued in pre-alpha: DX Pre-Alpha 04 (September 11), S24 Build 3868 DX Pre-Alpha 1.1 (September 19), and S24 Build 4015 DX Pre-Alpha 1.2 (September 27).
- September 12 and September 26: Cool VL Viewer stable moved from 1.32.4.47 to 1.32.4.49; experimental from 1.32.5.17 to 1.32.5.19. Packages are dated September 26 on the project site (Linux x86_64, Linux aarch64, Windows). macOS support remains on the 1.32.4 branch only.
- September 25: Mobile Grid Client 1.34.1319, listed in the week 39 viewer round-up. Alchemy and Aperture had no dated September stable notes in this scan.
