The day after a holiday we got a roll to the main channel of the grid. That is a bit unusual. This package is one that repairs a server crash.

The RC channels will get a new package. All three will run the same package. This one is about:
Second Life and Virtual Worlds
The Linden made series of viewers
They surprised me! Project Bento, server side, arrived at the main grid Tuesday. Torley Linden has posted about the Lab enabling the project on the main grid. See: Project Bento Testing Is Now Live on the Main Grid! This is a testing release. You will need the Project Bento Viewer to upload animations and meshes, and … Read more
Here is the video of the Project Bento user group meeting. There is a POST meeting video that I am working on. It has good information. Cathy Foil was answering questions from her experience with Bento from building MayaStar Bento support.
Dan Linden, at the Server Beta UG, elaborated a bit about project Bento going live SOON, saying, “And by live, I mean the server component that will allow the upload of Bento meshes animations that have additional bones. The Bento Release viewer is still a ways off. You’ll need a Bento Project Viewer to see Bento content for now.”
Today, Tuesday 5/24, the main grid was updated to the latest server package. Dan Linden calls it a security update. That is all the release notes say too.

The three RC channels will all get the same crash fix package for a problem found last week (20) Wednesday.
The meeting was short, about 18 minutes. Not much was talked about. But a little.

Oz mentioned the Quick Graphics viewer getting promoted to default viewer status. That is the Jelly Doll viewer, or more technically correct the Avatar Complexity Viewer. Oz says they are getting good reception in most places where people would scream or applaud.
The Quick Graphics Viewer is out. Some people are having some problems with the viewer. A semi-clean install seems to fix the problem. So, what’s semi-clean install?
