For support of the UN’s IPCC claim that manmade CO2 is warming the world the UN needs to be able to measure temperature change and show warming. But, what if someone were faking the data? We have a new study of the temperature data records used to show warming and what happens if you compare the current data to 2010 data. What does it show?

NASA EXPOSED IN ‘MASSIVE’ NEW CLIMATE DATA FRAUD
In February 2015 the US Congress was starting to consider an investigation of NOAA and NASA and their handling of temperature data. We have lots of people looking at recent data and some even recording their own. So, we should be able to see any faking of recent data. But, there doesn’t seem to be any recent faking of data. The fakery is elsewhere.
Joseph D’Aleo and Anthony Watts have been following temperature measurements and record handling for a couple of decades now. They kept finding odd divergences from what one would expect. Some 6,000 recording stations are showing irregularities.
If you’re asking what an irregularity might be, think of a measuring station on the edge of city, but still in the countryside. Over the years the city grows and soon the city limit has grown past the station and it is within the city.
The scientific community has long identified cities as ‘heat islands’. There are a lot of variables to be considered, but in general cities are anywhere from a couple of degrees to 10 degrees warmer than the countryside. They warm faster in the day and take longer to cool at night.
To compare a station’s reading while it was in the country to its readings now that the city has engulfed it, some adjustment is going to be needed. We would need to figure out how much warmer the city is than the surrounding countryside. A lot of study has gone into figuring out how to get an accurate adjustment factor.
What Professor Ewert and others have found is NASA has been going back and applying corrections to specific historical data. If that were done uniformly for a station to reflect engulfment by a city we would have more accurate data. But, that is not what they find. An adjustment is applied to 2010 but not 2015, thus making 2015 look warmer.
Analyzing the raw data we find:
Using the NASA data from 2010 the surface temperature globally from 1940 until today has fallen by 1.110°C, and since 2000 it has fallen 0.4223°C […]. The cooling has hit every continent except for Australia, which warmed by 0.6339°C since 2000. The figures for Europe: From 1940 to 2010, using the data from 2010, there was a cooling of 0.5465°C and a cooling of 0.3739°C since 2000.”
That obviously is not what we were being told in 2010. Using 2010 data adjusted to be cooler and comparing it to 2015 data makes it looks like we are continuing to warm.
In October 2015 NOAA was refusing to provide requested emails to the Congressional oversight committee that will reveal how NOAA came up with their June 2015 report. Also, why did they change the 2010 data? Why would they refuse and force Congress to go to subpoena to get that information?
Those not in the US may not understand what Congressional Oversight is. It is like your boss asking what you have been doing on the time he is paying you for. With Congress it a matter of overseeing how the public money taken from citizens is being spent. It is supposed to reduce corruption and waste. No government employee has any right to refuse cooperation with Congress, the people’s representatives. There are exceptions for national security.
Notice that Professor Ewert put his study and supporting information online. That is what honest scientists do.
As of Nov 24, 2015 we see the Washington Post writing NOAA Chief tells lawmaker: No one will ‘coerce the scientists who work for me’. Think about that. That NOAA chief works for the American people and Congress is the elected representatives of the people. The chief is nuts and obviously hiding something.
We have satellite data processed by two different organizations that show no warming for about 18 years now. NOAA backed up by NASA is saying the ground measurements are showing warming. Is it some big surprise that Congress has asked the group that is not publishing the data on how they decided there is warming? Especially when a rather well known and knowledgeable scientist has published his analysis of NOAA data and shows they are misreporting data?
One surely has to ask why a government organization is refusing to provide information to the public and Congress that was paid for by tax dollars. What do they have to hide? Probably another Climategate.
