Viewers

I covered the viewers this weekend in: Second Life News 2014-11 #3. Today the main viewer is: Second Life 3.7.3 (287491).

I also see the wiki has updated (Mar 17 2014) for version 3.7.4.288045… this is the Google Breakpad version that has been added to the RC Viewers List, giving us 6 RC Viewers.

There are lots of RC versions pending and versions waiting in the wings for RC slots. So, we will see a steady stream of viewer updates coming out. We have gotten an update each Friday for the past two weeks. Seems reasonable to expect the next one this coming Friday.

One per week is more than the Lindens like to roll out. But, if they have a viewer with a better crash rate (lower) than the current viewer then I expect it will come out this Friday or sooner.

NSA

See: NSA surveillance program reaches ‘into the past’ to retrieve, replay phone calls. If you believed they were not recording voice, you were wrong.

ATF

You probably won’t hear about the ATF ignoring Federal Court orders : Despite Restraining Order, ATF Raids Ares Armor Over Plastic Parts. This should scare the crap out of any American.

‘Dark Souls II’ Graphics And Lighting Downgrade Sparks Controversy’

I know people whine about frame rates in Second Life. But we are not the only world that has frame rate issues. See: article.
